The hotel is delightful and immaculately clean. Nestled in a beautiful building with an absolutely breathtaking view over sunset. - Boasts an ideal, unbeatable location close enough to good restaurants and the center of historic Matera. - Osteria Al Casale is located close to the venue, and I recommend trying the food there.

Marvelous stay in a tiny townhouse with just 6 rooms. Great Italian family, breathtaking view, and a chance to learn about sassi. Highly recommend, would love to return!
Just loved being forced to leave the room early by the cleaning lady who only spoke Italian. No shower for me!

The stay was very comfortable and I would stay there again. Thoroughly enjoyed Matera, the hotel was delightful and nice very near the main church. The property was located right in the heart of the city. Also, Cave was 3 miles away.

My room at Giardini Di Pietra had the most incredible view! From my balcony, I could see the stunning sunset over the ancient walls of Matera. The owners were not only kind and professional, but also extremely knowledgeable about the history of the town. They provided us with a thorough debriefing upon arrival, which made our guided tour unnecessary. The property itself has been beautifully refurbished by the main architect of the region, with minimal and elegant decor. Every detail was carefully thought out, and the comfort was exceptional. I highly recommend staying at Giardini Di Pietra.
